From Idea to Execution: Building MedibleGo
Rodrigo’s journey began with a clear vision to create a solution that helps business founders and leaders. He recognised that many startups struggle with identifying their target audience and validating market demand.  Medible started out as a Business Consultancy, helping companies grow their business effectively through the power of process and data-backed decisions. After years of working with businesses of all sizes, MedibleGo was built to automate this problem.
Rodrigo and his team developed MedibleGo to help businesses tailor their strategies based on real data, enabling them to scale faster and more effectively.

AI: The Startup Game Changer
Everyone is talking about how AI is transforming how businesses operate, and startups cannot afford to ignore its impact, specifically with scaling fast. Rodrigo emphasises that AI is not just a tool for large enterprises with big teams and sophisticated systems. It’s essential for startups looking to gain a competitive edge.

“Startups often think they know their customers, but without data, they are just guessing,” Rodrigo explains. “AI helps remove that uncertainty, giving businesses the clarity they need to grow.”

Rodrigo highlights three major hurdles and how AI can help overcome them:

  1. Identifying the Right Customers: AI eliminates guesswork by providing data-backed insights into customer behavior and preferences.

  2. Scaling with Precision: Instead of wasting resources on broad marketing efforts, startups can use AI to optimise their growth strategies.

  3. Reducing Time to Market: By automating research and analysis, AI enables startups to pivot quickly and seize new opportunities faster.

From Consulting from Chile to Scaling Up in Europe
As Rodrigo and his team refined their platform, they were invited to come to the UK, and take part in a scheme run by Innovate UK which gave them a faster way to scale into Europe. With access to funding, relocation support for individuals and business support, it was a no-brainer to choose the UK as the home of MedibleGo.

Unlike in the US, where startups can get caught up in an overwhelming domestic market, Rodrigo sees the UK as a place where companies naturally think and operate internationally. “The companies that are born here in the UK are more global,” he explains. “In the US, it’s easy to get lost, but the UK pushes you to build with a broader vision from day one.”

With government support, a diverse talent pool, and a culture that embraces risk and innovation, Rodrigo believes the UK isn’t just a great place to start a business, it’s a place where startups can truly thrive and go global.

Advice for Startup Founders
As a seasoned entrepreneur, Rodrigo shares his advice for startup founders:

  • Don't fall in love with your product, fall in love with the problem - Many founders get too attached to their technology or solution, but Rodrigo stresses that the real focus should be on solving customer problems. Businesses exist to solve problems, and success comes from understanding customer needs rather than perfecting a product for its own sake.

  • Make your customers happy - At the end of the day, what matters most is how well you solve your customers’ problems. The best businesses thrive by putting customer needs first rather than chasing technological perfection.

Startups should be problem-driven, not product-driven.
